Affinda Platform, an AI document processing software, has launched a new AI Integration Agent which makes it easy for organizations to connect AI-extracted data from their documents with the systems they use everyday. The outcome is a no-code way to connect and customize integrations between the Affinda Platform with some 2,800 systems – providing a flexible, fast and easy way to set up document automation.

AI document automation is fast becoming a non-negotiable, particularly for organizations in regulated industries where accuracy, speed and trust all matter. However, implementing an end-to-end document processing solution has often had its challenges. One of those is the speed and ease at which customers could integrate the IDP software with their existing business systems; choosing between rigid, preconfigured integrations or expensive and time-consuming custom API builds.

Affinda's new Integration Agent benefits both organizations with in-house developers – who can quickly create a proof of concept – and those without a tech team, allowing them to connect and automate custom integrations themselves.

Using plain language, teams can describe what they need and allow the Agent to create the custom integration for them. The Agent writes, refines with the user’s inputs and tests the code automatically, so teams can move from setup to integration in minutes – instead of days or weeks.

“This is an exciting milestone for Affinda and our ambition to make it easy for organizations in regulated industries to automate their high-stakes document workflows,” says Andrew Bird, head of AI at Affinda. “Affinda’s new Integration Agent allows organizations to automate data export to virtually any system – whether it’s ERP, CRM or other databases – using just natural language instructions, rather than needing a full API integration build.”

Charlie Bellingham, general manager at Affinda said: “We saw an opportunity to develop a flexible and customizable tool that lowers the investment required to get an end-to-end document processing solution off the ground and help more complex organizations prove concepts faster – the Integration Agent does just that.”

“Alongside that, smaller organizations often don’t have access to developers, so integration is often a barrier to document automation, plus they’re looking for a low implementation effort to get something in place,” adds Bellingham. “If you think of a specialized lending firm, adopting an automated system for document and record automation has likely been out of reach. With our Integration Agent, the set-up time is drastically reduced from days or weeks – to something that can be done in 15 minutes.”

Louis Wright, finance manager at property developer and homebuilding company, Lockerbie Estate, said: “We were spending more than half our working week getting supplier invoices and sales quotes into Xero. That kind of manual overhead doesn't scale and it was taking our focus away from financial planning and job costing that ensures we're delivering quality homes on time and on budget.”

“With Affinda Platform's AI Integration Agent, we had a working integration in days without waiting on a costly, time-consuming IT roadmap. It's been a real game changer. Now, accurate financial data flows from invoices into Xero automatically. We can focus on the higher-value work and have better visibility across our projects and more confidence in the numbers we're working with.”

Affinda recently gained attention as the first Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) provider to deploy AI agents with persistent Model Memory, which allows organizations to quickly configure custom automated document processing workflows without the hundreds of training documents or ongoing retraining cycles typical of Machine Learning (ML) approaches.

Affinda continues to leverage AI where it can benefit IDP outcomes and reduce barriers to entry.
