What is Affinda Extract MCP connector?

It is a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, with a regional endpoint for each Affinda Extract login (for example https://mcp.affinda.com/mcp). MCP is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools. The connector exposes Affinda Extract’s document processing capabilities as tools your assistant can call directly – you add it once, with no infrastructure to manage.

Which AI assistants are supported?

Use the endpoint for your account's region – the same address you sign in to Affinda from, with app. swapped for mcp.: Australia (AP1) https://mcp.affinda.com/mcp, United States https://mcp.us1.affinda.com/mcp, or Europe https://mcp.eu1.affinda.com/mcp.

How does sign-in work?

The connector uses OAuth 2.1. The first time your assistant calls an Affinda Extract tool, it opens a browser prompt to sign in with your existing account – no new credentials, and no tokens to copy into config. Access is scoped to document processing operations and can be revoked at any time.

Do I need an Affinda Extract account?

Yes – the connector works against your Affinda Extract account, so documents run under your own workspaces and controls. If you don't have one yet, you can create one for free and connect in minutes.

Is my document data secure?

Affinda Extract is ISO 27001:2022 certified and SOC 2 and GDPR compliant. Documents and extracted data are processed under your existing Affinda Extract account with the same access controls and data-residency options you already use. See our security page or the Trust Centre for details.
